Business Card Blog






Artist Statement: I made these three different business cards as a way advertise myself. What inspired me to create these business cards is to demonstrate the three different characteristics of myself to the world. The first design shows the positive outlook I have on the world. The second business card demonstrates the curious aspect that I have. Lastly, the third business card demonstrates the understanding and easy going characteristic that I own. 

I believe that people should card because it the artwork I create is meant to pitch myself and connect with. In addition, it gives people a way of how I can be remembered as with the logo. The artworks all have different designs but demonstrate who I am. With the logo stamped on all three business cards, it entails my true character of being a focused and free flowing individual. What makes my artwork unique is the logo design and choice of colors as I believe show my true colors. What this means to me is how I would like my contact information to be remembered as if I were to start my own business.

    Well done! I love the gradient detail in the third design. You have a very classic logo and I'm glad you didn't vary the color. My favorite is the first!

Illustrator Homework 1

  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UqjZR_v37K8   I think tools that would be easy to use are the zoom in and out tool, sizing tool, and eyedropper tool. I think these tools would be easy to use because these are tools that I have experience using with other software programs. A tool that I think would be difficult to use is the pen tool. I believe the pen tool would be a difficult tool to use because it will be difficult to create curves that are shaped in the way the artist desires. In addition, the pen tool would be difficult to use as I think this would require practice getting used to. Inspiration: Sketch: Canvas Project: Hour Count: 12  When I first started this project, I drew a couple of sketches only to realize that the sketches that I drew were simple everyday things that did not catch my interest. This led me to think about my childhood and growing up, I remember reading the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series written by Jeff Kidney and this was one of my favorite series that I enjoyed reading growing up. What inspired me to create the red outline around the character named Greg Heffley is in honor of the first book of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series.  In the first phase of my canvas, I started by creating a sketch of Greg Heffley.
