According to Robert Kahn, The internet is a system architecture that has revolutionized communications and methods of commerce by allowing various computer networks around the world to interconnect (Robert, 2021).  In other words, it is a system of technological networks that allows people to communicate effectively around the world and holds numerous amounts of information. The Internet is a tool that can be used for any purpose such as access to information and accessibility to other users within a network. The first computer networks were created in the 1950s and 1960s which had the purpose for airline reservation systems (SABRE) and command-and-control systems (AUTODIN I).

The internet consists of numerous amounts works from scientists, programmers, and engineers. However, the creators of the internet are mainly credited to computer scientists Vinton Cerf and Bob Kahn. In 1986, a computer scientist named Leonard Kleinrock proved that communication between two computer networks was possible. In 1980, Cerf and Kahn created the foundations for efficient and large webs of interconnected networks which is why Cerf and Kahn were credited for the creation of the Internet. The usage of the Internet was first used as transferring files to different computers among computers within a network. This is different from how the Internet is used currently which serves as a place for access to numerous amounts of information and effective communication through various channels.

The first website was created on August 6, 1991, by a British computer scientist Tim Berners-Lee. The first website consisted of information about the World Wide Web Project (http://info.cern.ch/hypertext/WWW/TheProject.html). The website is about instructions on how to create web pages and learn hypertext. Specifically, it contained computer language codes of HTML, HTTP, and URLs which serve as the building blocks of website creation. The first website was lost or no longer available at one point in time. In 2013, a project to restore the world's first web page was launched by CERN and is currently available for users to access again.

The connection of Hedy has in relation to Wifi and Bluetooth is that she paved the way for technological development. Lamarr was an actor that played a role in numerous films such as Ecstasy, Tortilla Flat, and Sampson and Delilah. The film Bombshell was a documentary that portrayed the life of Hedy Lamarr. It was recognized in the film that Hedy Lamarr had been the creator of the foundations of WiFi and Bluetooth. During Hedy Lamarr's era, she was not recognized because women were overlooked and were sometimes prevented from entering labs. The invention that Hedy Lamarr developed was a device that would guide torpedos to their targets using a radio signal that switched over among 88 frequencies. This led Lamarr to be recognized as the inventor of frequency hopping which ultimately led to the creation of WiFi and Bluetooth.

Bluetooth was developed by European Inventor from the Netherlands Jaap Haartsen. Jaap Haartsen worked in the mobile phone division and created Bluetooth in the mid-1990s. The usage of Bluetooth connectivity allowed for electronic gadgets to be within a short range with the usage of radio frequencies. The name Bluetooth is named after a Viking King (King Harold) and the name originated from the immense amount of blueberries King Harold consumed and it would leave a stain on his teeth after eating them. The logo of Bluetooth looks the way it does because it represents King Harold's initials using Danish runes (Hagall) (ᚼ) and (Bjarken) (ᛒ).

The creation of WiFi is credited to Dr. John O'Sullivan, an Australian engineer who led a team of WiFi technology. The functional usage of WiFi took place in the 1970s and the original acronym for WiFi was known as Wireless Ethernet Compatibility Alliance. The acronym was later changed to WiFi Alliance which was an organization that involved experimenting with WiFi tools to meet compliance standards. The original name 'Wireless Fidelity' was a name that people working in WiFi Alliance were afraid of and confused people with the brand. This led the organization to hire Interbrand to create a new name for 'Wireless Fidelity.' Ultimately, led to the creation of play on words of watering down the name to "WiFi".
